Service And Repair For Honda And Acura Vehicles

Services are recommended every 30,000 miles in order to keep your investment up to date and in good, safe working order. There are many checks done along with routine fluid changes and flushes. On some models the spark plugs are changed every 30,000 miles as well. On 99 and up nearly all use platinum spark plugs which last 90,000 miles. Here is a list of a general routine maintenance service.

Replace engine oil and filter.

Rotate tires and check inflation as well as wear.

Inspect front and rear brakes, check pads and discs for wear and damage, check calipers for damage, leaks and tightness of mounting bolts, check wheel cylinders fro leaks, check fluid for contamination and breakdown.

Lubricate locks, hinges and window run channels.

Inspect tie rod ends, steering rack, seals and boots for leaks, cracks or damage.

Inspect suspension components for damage and tightness.

Inspect drive shaft boots, bands for cracks, tightness and leaks.

Check parking brake adjustment.

Inspect brake lines, hoses master cylinder, modulator valve and ABS system for leaks and cracking or damage.

Check all fluid for proper level, and wear condition.

Inspect exhaust system for damage and tightness.

Inspect all fuel lines for cracks or leaks.

Inspect all cooling system hoses and clamps.

Check for radiator and A/C fan operation.

Insect and adjust drive belts if needed.

Inspect drive belt auto tensioner.

Replace engine air filter.

Replace cabin/dust and pollen filter.

Replace transmission fluid.

Replace engine coolant every 60,000 miles

Replace rear differential fluid for all or 4 wheel drive vehicles.
